Snack time

The other day Cara, Teagan and I were out grocery shopping when Cara spotted this:

a honey pomelo

Having never eaten one before I had no idea what to do with it.  So I googled "how to eat a honey pomelo" and was given plenty of advice.

Apparently the pomelo is native to South East Asia.
It is also the largest citrus fruit.

The information I read was all very interesting
BUT
we just wanted to eat it!

I thought I would show you how it compares in size to a small clementine:

It tasted like a mild, sweet grapefruit!
I will definitely be adding "pomelo" to my grocery list next time!

That thing is crazy-big!
I always look at exotic fruit but never buy any. Though I have been buying pomegranates and I did do some internet research to learn how to eat them too.

Lo, your life is exciting! I am always in too much of a hurry in the grocery store to stop and touch the pomelos! Thanks for the lessons.

Ugh ... I saw all that white stuff and totally lost any interest in pomelos that I might have had. I'll take the clementine :)
